Southern Cross School of Business (SCSB – RTO 41253), is an Australian government accredited vocational education institution specialising in Business, Accounting and Management with University Pathway programs for Australian and International students.

SCSB was created to provide students with option of an institute that would deliver quality workplace focused training at affordable fees. The School management comprises experienced academics and professionals who are great believers in the transformative power of vocational education.

The School aims to offer accredited training to people who are part of current workforce in different capacities and to school leavers through a range of VET courses. The courses are specifically designed to support learners to pathway into our Higher Education courses including as well as University Degrees.

SCSB courses engage students in real creative industry projects, helping the students to develop essential skills while exploring current industry relevant topics. Studying a full-time or part-time Diploma of Accounting, Leadership and Management or Business with at SCSB will set you up for a great start in life.


SCSB courses are designed to reflect roles and tasks in current industry contexts. All of the courses are designed to be practical and project based, comprising both individual and group work through comprehensive use of professional industry resources. Each course involves a range of assessment tasks including projects and portfolio development.
SCSB VET courses are designed to develop and extend the learner’s critical and creative thinking skills, while the School trainers help students to develop their employability skills and an understanding of the world of work.
At SCSB, we provide students with the state-of-the art computer lab, and the most up-to-date training materials available, including access to online business environments.
You will be exposed to group dynamics and be required to demonstrate team skills by working on group based assessments and learning activities. This way you will learn to fulfil team based workplace responsibilities and expectations of the job.
As contemporary professions require employees to multitask more than ever before, assessment tasks in courses at SCSB are designed in such a way as to have the students work in a number of directions at once. For instance, an assessment task may require you to multitask the following:

  • Research, gather and analyse data
  • Produce report acceptable in a business environment, and
  • Prepare a presentation to relevant stakeholders


SCSB Courses are delivered face to face and in blended learning mode. The teaching week for different courses may vary in contact and content. Once enrolled, you will be provided with individual timetable and complete Course Planner.

Generally, the unit nominal hours are partitioned into following segments:

  • Teaching / class hours
  • Supervised study hours
  • Assessment help hours

Private / Out of Class Study:

Students need to allocate between 10 to 15 hours of self-study time per week to enhance their understanding. A maximum of 15 hours of self-study should be sufficient for an average student to grasp the learning contents.

Student Support, Welfare and Guidance

Southern Cross School of Business is committed to completing the outlined training and assessment once students have commenced their study and meeting all of its student responsibilities.

In the event of being unable to commence or complete the course, the school will, if possible, arrange for agreed training and assessment to be completed through partner training organisations (Fees may be incurred).

Where the student is experiencing any personal difficulties, they will be referred to relevant staff who will provide best possible available assistance. If the student’s needs exceed the school’s support capacity it will refer the student to an appropriate external agency.
